In the new book by Madison Safer coming in Spring 2026 from Somewhere Books, a sibling imprint of Ayin Press, the Garlic Eaters live underground in a cozy house made entirely out of garlic. They love how the plant smells and tastes; they even wear garlic peels and sleep on garlic cloves. Then one day, a very large mole storms through their beloved home, forcing them to leave.
