Live2Tell

August 16, 2024

Live2Tell is a project that was born out of the tragedy of October 7th and the shocking public displays of antisemitism worldwide.

Gillian Laub, critically acclaimed photographer and director, realized the need to document the testimony of survivors while we still have the chance. Within days after the terrorist attack in Israel, she assembled a world class team of collaborators and live to tell was born.

The Jewish experience through human history is the story of persecution and an enormous will to survive. Yet awareness of this history is at risk, especially amongst younger generations. Twenty percent of 18-29 year old Americans believe the Holocaust was a myth. Magnifying the stories of the last living survivors feels urgent at this time.

Live2Tell is centering its first major effort around Holocaust Remembrance Day. On January 27th, 2024, images of survivors will be displayed on public landmarks and buildings with QR codes that lead back to a dedicated Instagram feed to share the stories.

The dedicated goal of live to tell is to elevate the consciousness and spark conversation about the parallels between past and present. These narratives need to be revived using a more contemporary lens to reach new generations. The first hand stories of survivors need to continue to be shared, retold and passed down. Their wisdom must serve as a warning.

L’dor Vador. From generation to generation. We live to tell.
