Stephanie Butler

Director of Jewish Community Services of Dothan

My family moved to Dothan in December 2009 with the Blumberg Family Jewish Community Services Relocation Project. My husband and I have two boys who are sports fanatics. They play soccer, football, baseball, run track and ride BMX…they keep us very busy! Prior to Dothan, I’ve lived in Birmingham, Boca Raton, and St. Petersburg, and I am a graduate of the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). I have worked in education and congregational program administration since graduating in 2000. I began my career as a teacher and assistant youth program director at Congregation B’nai Israel in Boca Raton, and then was youth program director at Temple Beth-El in St. Petersburg. Since moving to Dothan, I have taught English at area high schools. In my position as JCS Director, I hope to use my experience in communications, community engagement and programming, and as a participant in the Relocation Project to advance the JCS’s mission of building, sustaining, and assuring the continuity of a vibrant Jewish community in Dothan.
