Global Day of Unplugging 2025: March 7-8

February 20, 2025

Unplug to reconnect. Step away to tune in.

For 24 hours—from sundown March 7 to sundown March 8—join a worldwide movement of digital detoxers putting down their screens to rediscover the beauty of real-life moments. The Global Day of Unplugging isn’t just about turning off your phone—it’s about turning on your senses, your creativity, and your connections with the world around you.

What started in 2009 as the National Day of Unplugging (NDU)—born from Reboot’s Sabbath Manifesto—has grown into a global phenomenon, reminding us that life happens beyond the screen. Now powered by Unplug Collaborative, this movement invites you to pause, breathe, and embrace the present.

💡 How will you unplug?

  • Host a tech-free dinner with friends.
  • Take a walk without distractions—listen to nature, not notifications.
  • Organize a screen-free game night or arts and crafts session.
  • Simply be present—with your loved ones, your thoughts, and yourself.

Schools, businesses, and communities worldwide are already planning exciting unplugged experiences—and you can too!

Ready to reclaim your time?
Join us this March and make unplugging an adventure.
