Ctrl Alt Del: Tashlique 2022 at Ocean Beach

We are thrilled to gather together again for our modern spin on tashlich. Mark the start of your new year with a free event by Reboot and the JCCSF.

Reset your system with our modern spin on a 600-year-old Rosh Hashanah ritual called tashlich. This custom of ridding ourselves of all our bad vuggum (karma) from the previous year and getting a fresh start for the new one is traditionally enacted by tossing crumbs into the ocean. Join us on Monday, Sept. 26 at 5:00 p.m. PT by the shore at Ocean Beach for a brief, engaging ritual. Bring a shofar, if you have one, to blow along with some of San Francisco’s finest players from the Jazz Mafia, the Irish Pipers Band and the Church of John Coltrane. *This year we will provide birdseed instead of bread to be better stewards of our wildlife and environment. The event is free but please RSVP here.

Tashlique is presented by Reboot with the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco. Tashlique is produced in partnership with Hebrew Free Loan, Honeymoon Israel, the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund, JIMENA, The KitchenOne Table and Value Culture.

All attendees are required to sign this waiver and are encouraged to wear masks.
**We will abide by all COVID regulations in place at the time of the event. Thank you for understanding.
